And I don’t know that he listened to the radio much. I never had a sense that he knew anything about music, and I did not have a sense that he understood film history. But he had certain insights about it and those insights were his contributions. You would never look at him as an expert on anything; you looked to him as a man of ideas, a visionary, and as I say, a poet.
